Bill of Materials Wizard is an Excel based front-end for the Oracle Bill of Materials Interface. This program contains the validation and defaulting rules of the Oracle forms plus the capabilities made possible by our popular spreadsheet model. You can download existing data from Oracle as the basis for your new Bill of Materials and employ the features of Excel to help prepare your data.

  • Add or end date selected components within an existing Bill of Materials
  • Submit Bill of Materials Import from the toolbar. You don’t need to log into Oracle to load the Bill of Materials.
  • Error messages are returned to the worksheet so there is no need to go into the Applications to check the import status.
  • Can use formulas in place of values
  • Use multiple sheets and even operate on sheets in other workbooks

Requires MS-Excel and Internet Explorer on the PC, otherwise no additional software required. This program uses the standard Bill of Materials Business Objects API Interface. Installation can be performed in a minute by your DBA. Runs on Excel 97/2000/XP on any operating system. Connects to Oracle Applications R11i on any platform.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I lose support from Oracle if I allow this third party product to integrate with our database?
A: No. You would if this product wrote to the application's base tables. Bill of Materials Wizard uses Oracle's Bills of Material Business Objects API. The use of the Wizard is supported by Oracle because we use Oracle's standard Bill of Materials interfacing functionality.

Pricing and Licenses

Perpetual Licence

This licence option is suitable for on-going use of the software in an operational capacity. The licence price is payable once only.

Conversion Licence

This licence option allows the software to be used for 3 months, for a reduced price. The licence price is inclusive of email support. After the 3 month period, the software automatically reverts to trial version functionality. At any time, the licence may be upgraded to a permanent licence upon payment of the difference between the full and conversion licence prices.

Support

Support is 25% per annum, and includes upgrades and enhancements. Support is actioned via email and telephone.
Although you are not required to purchase the support agreement, we do recommend it as we often add new features, and Oracle do change their product, requiring us to adapt our software to suit.
