Welcome to Routing Wizard by More4Apps
We developed this tool to help with the data conversion process for Routing Routings and to provide an alternative to the Oracle Applications Routing data entry form.
Oracle users needing to create Routings now have a richly featured Excel solution allowing them to create their Routing directly from Excel to Oracle Applications Routing module.
Routing Wizard is a VBA program embedded in a Microsoft Excel workbook. It is a close cousin to our other “Wizard” products and shares the same look and feel.
This documentation is written with the assumption the user knows how to create a Routing manually. We highly recommend you read this document in conjunction with the following:
· Oracle Bill of Materials Users Guide (11i), Chapter 3, Creating a Routing
· Oracle Manufacturing APIs and Open Interfaces Manual, Chapter 3, Routing API Overview
The software interfaces with the standard Oracle Routing API Interface. It does NOT modify any Oracle objects.
Column names are stored in row 9. This row is fixed and cannot be changed. Do NOT insert or delete rows before row 10. Case of the above names is not important but spelling is. If you change the contents of row 9 in any column, you have in effect deleted the column as far as the program is concerned.
You can move the columns anywhere you like, hide, or even separate them. Whenever you open a form or run the upload, the program determines the positions of all the “named” columns. If you duplicate a column header you will get an error message.
Features
All options are available on a toolbar. Double clicking in the spreadsheet also loads the Routing Header, Operation or Operation Resource. The forms are optional and you can simply type, import, or paste the values into the spreadsheet.
You can upload Routings one at a time, a selected range, or your entire worksheet.
You can delete resources or submit Routings or Operations to delete groups.
You can choose to have one Routing per sheet or multiple Routings within a sheet.
The program is flexible about the spreadsheet layout. You can move, delete, or hide unwanted columns. You can also have multiple sheets or even use sheets in other workbooks.
This program has been developed on R11i (11.5.9+) and has not been tested or designed for prior releases of Oracle Applications.

Limitations
Substitute resources are not supported, however the functionality will be added at a future date.
Attachments are not supported but will be added at a future date.
You cannot update a Department if resources exist for the Operation; you must delete the resources first.
Trial Version
The trial version of this program is fully functional and has no time-out. It does however only upload 10 Routing lines at a time before stopping and sets all routing operation lines effective end date to the upload date + 7 days.
The forms and other features are not constrained even in the trial version.
